After graduating high school, Jimmy began working as an ironworker for local construction companies. Though “hanging iron” became his passion, the media reported in 1990 of the imminent Persian Gulf War, which was being touted as the “mother of all wars.” This led to Jimmy enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. After honorably serving his country as a US Marine, James proudly worked for the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office before launching his career in private security. Starting in 1996 as a Detention Officer on a federal contract, James was tasked with providing static and roving security throughout a detention center housing both criminal and civil detainees. James was soon promoted to Compliance Officer and quickly found himself selected to the position of Quality Assurance Manager and subsequently, Assistant Project Manager. These roles included all tasks associated with running a 300-officer force and ensuring mandated compliance with the most stringent of oversight, especially post 911. A new contract provided a new role, and James was selected as Chief of Security, until deciding to create Triad Security in 2017. Recently, James was selected as a subject matter expert within the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. As such, James is afforded the opportunity to participate in creating, revising, implementing, and enforcing existing Security Guard training and testing for the State of California. James’ military and security expertise serves our clients well. With over 30 years of military and security experience, James is well equipped to provide the highest level of protection for our clients. In his downtime, James is a fan of our local deserts and often can be found on overland excursions with his wife and friends.
